Space Wolves Resurrected

These guys are also resurrected.

Some from severe damage.

The shield, for instance, hides an arm taken off at the elbow.

They are done with as far as I'm concerned though transfers may be applied in the future.

And I still hate painting yellow.

They are headed for Lewis's box now though.

Then on to his Land Speeder.

Terminator Lord

This guy, a Chaos Terminator Lord, has taken forever.

Might be something to do with me being out of the country for three weeks.

He had been painted and assembled strangely but I decided I could improve on it. Still not good but better.

Perhaps I should have scrubbed off the paint and stated afresh.

I'm near the end with four Space Wolves but I do so hate painting yellow.

White Dwarf - Dark Vengeance

The new White Dwarf went on sale this morning and it's already nearly out of stock at Cotswold Bookstore. I wonder why.

Could it be that it is packed full of news about the 'brand-new 40K box game', Dark Vengeance?

With its Dark Angels v Chaos Space Marines theme, its all new Helbrute model and Chosen and Cultists on the side of Chaos and Terminators, Ravenwings and character rich Space Marines on the other, this is a box set of class with models all in high detail.

The mag includes pages of 'Eavy Metal' examples and 6 missions for the combatants plus news of a custom designed case for Dark Vengeance models

I think the most interesting addition to the box is the new tutorial which will help beginners to take to the rules quickly. This is something that has been needed for ages.

And lots, lots more, of course. One not to be missed.

PS Almost forgot. A limited Edition Interrogator Chaplain model is included in earliest box sets so get a move on.

Tau model

Here's a nice neat model Tau that Todd brought in today.

He was also kind enough to fetch some excellent sand back from Cornwall.

I exported some from New Zealand recently and I have to admit, the Cornish sand was more to my liking.

The bus fare to get there and back was cheaper too.

Sorry the photo's not so great Todd. I've still to get the hang of this camera. It doesn't show him at his best.

Bilbo in White Dwarf

Speaking of Middle-Earth, the latest White Dwarf has a double page spread showing Bilbo, Gandalf and all the dwarves from the up coming film of the Hobbit.

Hints of things to come.

My LOTR painting may come to the fore now that I've nearly finished the boy's 40K models.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new figures, when they're released.

Games Workshop in Middle-Earth

Sorry this blog has been ignored lately. I've been away.

Visiting a Games Workshop outlet on the other side of the world.

Sam, the Captain of the Auckland (New Zealand) shop in Queen's Street was kind enough to take this pic.

He suggested that I should be in front of the LOTR section seeing as we were in Middle-Earth.

I did try to get back again Sam for a shot of you too, but couldn't make it.
