The complete Dwarf Command set with bases shining with black sand.
Just a spot of gold and Mithril needed among the coal, here and there.
The repaired axe handle worked out OK though one swipe at an Orc helmet might well see the last of it.
It had snapped of and been super glued, then snapped off again.
Now it has a little resin reinforcement laid along it.
Thinks. Is that a little coal I see in a couple of beards?
Next, anything that isn't resin!
Cotswold Bookstore has closed. This blog is now, simply, my LOTR record.

Dwarf Command 2
Here's the second Dwarf, Captain Hornblower.
The horn was seriously corrupted with large 'Elephant Man' type extensions at the noisy end.
I've done the best I can with it.
I would have taken it back to the shop but it's a hell of a journey to Auckland in New Zealand.
Anyway, I bought it 4 years ago.
Again, the base awaits the black sand finish.

Dwarf Command
OK So it was more than a few days.
However, there's been another short invasion, lots of fascinating politics, the allotment to tidy after the weeks hols in Athens, the Cricket World Cup on the T.V. and, of course, Settlers.
Damn game!
Here's the first of the commander set with a very bent Banner (resin, of course).
The rest are close behind and, when they are done, I'll base them as per the other dwarves.

Post hols post
I'm back now - from my hols in Athens. Back too, to painting. Evidence should appear here in a few days time (4 Dwarf Commanders). Nothing doing tomorrow, however, as our power is to be cut all day.
