Dreadfleet - Grimnir's Thunder 2

I thought I'd finished with this nice little model, having decided not to wash the silver, but I see there is painting yet to do.

I often spot missed areas only when I've seen them on screen - a different angle, so to speak.

I'll stop the next model (The Black Kraken) and come back to this one for a mo.

There's the area of fore starboard railings to do  and perhaps some silver highlighting on both the hull and the eagle on the bow.

It would be nice to have the split in bow and cannon repaired but I'm worried that I'll cause more harm than good.

Still, she's not very seaworthy with that great split there.

Caulking with tar ropes isn't it?

This vessel looks uncannily like the result of a fling between a Mississippi Steamboat and a British tank (as first used at the Battle of Cambrai). Surely a dob of the industrial gap-filling high viscosity superglue would fill the gap ? I do understand the mental standoff felt when contemplating such interventions however. Will I make it worse or will all be well. Do it with your eyes shut ? Perhaps that's not such a good idea. Excellent job as always, I shall comment further when I'm not supposed to be making a pot of tea. John

The steam boat faction won out over the tank. Not a speck of mud.
I could use your specialist glue/filler (oxywotsit?) or 'wodge in' (technical term) some green stuff but then out comes a file or scraper and the paint never looks the same. I'll think on't.
