Osgiliath Veterans 10

Well, I think that's all of them. The satchel, 2nd down, is a piece of tarp from a Flames of War tank. The box like object I cut from a thin strip of kitchen flooring. The cloak, sacks and other bags are all Green Stuff and the axe, above, I borrowed from a spare Gimli.

Near miss that as was the orc spear through the shield in the third shot.

These look great in the pictures, I didn't think green stuff would be able to make whole bags and cloaks.

Thanks for the comment. I thought they looked good too, till I saw the results of a far better painter than me. He'd done the same thing and converted a box of Minas Tirith warriors. One had an excellent beard. Perhaps a head swap?

Was it made from green stuff? I don't see why that's so difficult to make especially since you made that guy with long hair.

Hi Lewis. I'm hoping I get a reply from Lsst Alliance, a Forum of LOTR painters. The guy who made the beard posted on it. The beard is that much smaller than hair and it looks really good. He may have used a Rohan head. I expect there are some with beards.

Oh right, yeah that would make sense. I was also thinking, maybe you could carve away at the models lower face, then make the beard?

Not sure you'd need to cut the face. Just work up the beard. If I have some scrap green stuff from another job, I'll try it. It's tiny work though.
