Citadel Guard 2

That advice site suggests dry-brushing in bronze, then  in Leadbelcher which you see on the left.

Below is a further stage with a Chainmail dry-brush.

It's a little brighter and looks less like orc armour.

Notice there's a bright spot on number two, under the cloak near his left leg.

That appeared on two of them while I was dry-brushing and, though I saw nothing, I assume a piece of metal fell out.

Surely you are aware of the old model maker's saying 'Every cloak has a silver lining' ? John

That will be handy on the next project. There's a great chunk of excess metal at the base of one cloak. I aim to try painting it as a fur trim. If I fail, it will have to be filed away and a new paint job started on the cloak.

What you need is a sprue cutter. They are available on Amazon. But I think a pair of professional toenail cutters are perfect for the job. They have a flat face which rests against the toe so that you can cut the nail clean and flush. They are very strong. I reckon they could cut through Trump's self-satisfaction at one bite. To be honest, I found it very difficult to see the white spot you refer to. I think I can make out a slight pale smudge where you indicate but that could well be down to a vindictive seagull. John

I have the tools John. These were pieces well back in the cloak. I only became aware of them when dry-brushing removed them. Had I seen them, a toothpick would have done.
