John's Barrow and hat
John has been working on his round barrow and surrounds.
Here's the occupant, sound asleep as usual, and a neat way of fitting the barrow onto the board.
He's also put up two standing stones on a separate board as well as those near the entrance.
His hat.

The main diorama is close to completion, just needs dried herbs, glued and painted to the dome of the barrow in order to simulate scrubby grass. I have added the grave of an unfortunate adventurer who came to grief in this haunted landscape while treasure hunting. His name has crumbled with his remains into dust, but there is a rumour that this is the last resting place of Kevin the Hapless. It is a cardinal error to go adventuring without your Hap, as witness the sad end of Kevin. Well, to be fair you'd have to dig him up to witness his sad end. It IS pretty sad but still not worth the effort. The adjoining board needs more work, especially the dried herb treatment - incidentally, if you were a little peckish you could, at a pinch, eat these dioramas with a little pasta and a bottle of rough country red. - I think some fallen tumuli would add a little verisimilitude to the scene. If you don't fancy verisimilitude you could always use a soupcon of Colonel T.P. Theophilus Crumhorn's (Late of the West Virginia Mounted Foot ' The Southern Confederacy's Finest ') Crawfish 'n' Grits Relish.
As usual, Tony's inspired photoshots bring a certain je ne sais quois to my otherwise lumbering efforts. John

Despite the compliment, no, you're still paying for my tea next time.
